Opinion: Sportcaller & William Hill offer £1m for Cheltenham Promotion

Oddschecker released their latest Clickshare stats showing a clear increase for William Hill compared to other operators. Whether it was attributed to better marketing or adding a jackpot competition for a Life-Changing amount of money is anyone's guess, however, looking at the comparison, there is a clear margin on what a Jackpot does to generate traffic compared to the usual bonusing and other traditional incentives for a major sporting event.

Companies such as Sportcaller, who are a RISQ integrated partner, are creating engaging competitions as a way to help operators differentiate themselves in an already saturated market. This is giving the likes of William Hill the opportunity to trial new betting concepts around major sporting events, and when you look at what happened at Cheltenham this year, it's giving a clear lead in bringing in punters that have too much choice already.


What happens after Cheltenham? Will this be a permanent engagement for SportCaller to refine the product into a permanent race offering for Hills? Will they move onto the next big event, perhaps NASCAR for the US offering? or will it fade into obscurity, giving a new startup to release its own version of the Golden Race and take some of that market share?
